A tailor card usually comes back with the customer

Clothing work is repeat work. The customer who got a blouse stitched will be back before the next wedding. Your card is the thing that decides whether they come back to you or to the shop next door.

Two things make the difference: saying exactly what you stitch, and saying how long you take.

Fill in your details and watch the card change

Drawing your card...

Optional. JPG, PNG or WebP. It is fitted into the corner at its own shape, so a wide logo stays wide.

The card is 3.5 x 2 inches, the normal Indian visiting card size. 1050 x 600 is 300 dpi, which every press accepts. Ask the printer to keep 3 mm bleed on all sides.

Paper runs out and numbers change. An Ahoyy card is the same card, on a link you can edit.

What to print on a tailoring card

  • Ladies, gents, or both. This is the very first filter for a customer.
  • What you specialise in: blouse, salwar, suit, sherwani, uniform, alteration.
  • Normal delivery time in days, and whether urgent work is possible.
  • Whether you take measurements at home.
  • Whether you supply fabric or the customer brings it.
  • Your busy season note, like "book two weeks ahead for wedding season".

Make your tailoring card

  1. 1. Put the shop name, and your own name below it if customers ask for you personally.
  2. 2. Write ladies or gents work clearly in the one-line field.
  3. 3. List your main garments in the services line.
  4. 4. Add your WhatsApp, because customers send design photos there.
  5. 5. Print on slightly thick card. This card gets pinned, folded and carried in a purse.

Design photos are your real catalogue

Customers walk in holding a photo from Instagram and ask if you can make it. That means your own photos of finished work do most of your selling.

You cannot fit them on a card. Put them on a page behind the QR, and a new customer can see your blouse work before deciding to hand over expensive fabric.

Common questions

Should stitching charges go on the card?
Print one anchor rate if you have a standard one, like blouse stitching. Full rate lists change with design and are better behind the QR.
How do I show that I do urgent work?
Put it in the one-line field, like "Urgent work in 24 hours". It is often the reason a customer picks one tailor over another.
I do both ladies and gents work. Should I say so?
Yes, plainly. Many customers assume a tailor does one or the other and will not ask.
What colour suits a boutique card?
Something close to your shop look. A boutique card can be bolder than a general tailoring card, because style is part of what you sell.
Should I print my Instagram?
Yes, if you post finished garments. In this trade the grid works as a portfolio and it costs one line.
