QR code generator

Your work is already on Instagram. Make it one scan away.

Type your username. We build the profile link and turn it into a QR code that any normal camera app can read, not only the scanner hidden inside Instagram.

That difference matters in a shop. Someone who does not use Instagram every day will not know where the in-app scanner lives, but their camera opens the link straight away.

Your Instagram handle

Just the name. Skip the @ if you like, we clean it up.

Fill the form and your QR code shows up here.

1024 px is fine for a visiting card or a menu. 2048 px is for a shutter poster or a flex board.

Make this permanent

Handles change and accounts get locked. A page you own does not.

This code and the Instagram nametag are not the same

Instagram nametagOnly readable from inside the Instagram app. Great for handing your phone to another Instagram user.
This QR codeReadable by any phone camera. Opens your profile in the browser or in the app if it is installed.
Best usePrint this one on paper. Keep the nametag for in-person, phone-to-phone.

Businesses that get real value from this

  • Photographers and mehndi artists, because your portfolio is already there as a grid.
  • Bakers and cake makers, where the last twelve cakes sell the next one.
  • Boutiques and tailors, showing new fabric as it comes in.
  • Salons, showing the haircuts and bridal looks you actually did.
  • Gyms and dance classes, where the class videos do the selling.
  • Any shop where the work is visual and words undersell it.

Make your Instagram QR

  1. 1. Type your username. You can include the @ or paste the full profile link, we clean it up either way.
  2. 2. Add a caption like "Follow us on Instagram" so the square explains itself.
  3. 3. Look at the link under the preview and check the spelling of your handle.
  4. 4. Download the PNG and print it, or share the image itself on WhatsApp status.
  5. 5. Test with a phone that is logged out of Instagram, so you see what a stranger sees.

What to do about a private account

A QR code cannot open a profile that is set to private. The scanner reaches your page and sees a follow request button.

If the account is for business, switch it to public or to a professional account. If you keep it private, put the QR only where you actually want follow requests, not on a shop board.

Common questions

Do people need the Instagram app to open this?
No. The code opens a normal web link. If Instagram is installed, the phone usually opens the app. If not, the profile loads in the browser.
Will it still work if I change my username?
No. The old username is baked into the printed code. Fix your username before you print, and avoid changing it after.
Can I make a QR for a specific post or a reel?
Yes, but use the website QR tool for that. Copy the post link from the share menu and paste it there.
Is this an official Instagram tool?
No. It simply builds the standard public profile address and draws a QR code for it. There is no connection to your account and no login.
Can I put my logo in the middle of the code?
Not with this tool. A logo covers data and raises the chance of a failed scan, especially on small prints.

Instagram shows your work. It does not show your rates.

Put your services, prices and phone on a free Ahoyy page, and link the two together.
