Visiting card maker
In beauty work the card is a booking, not an introduction
Nobody keeps a salon card to remember your name. They keep it to book the next appointment without opening a search. So the card has to make booking the easiest thing on it.
That means the number goes big, the WhatsApp goes on it, and the card says clearly whether you come to the customer or they come to you.
Fill in your details and watch the card change
Drawing your card...
Optional. JPG, PNG or WebP. It is fitted into the corner at its own shape, so a wide logo stays wide.
The card is 3.5 x 2 inches, the normal Indian visiting card size. 1050 x 600 is 300 dpi, which every press accepts. Ask the printer to keep 3 mm bleed on all sides.
Paper runs out and numbers change. An Ahoyy card is the same card, on a link you can edit.
What sells on a beauty card
- • Whether you do home service. For bridal and mehndi work this is the first question.
- • Your two or three signature services, not a list of twenty.
- • Whether appointments are needed or walk-ins are fine.
- • Ladies only, gents only, or both. This saves awkward calls.
- • Instagram handle, because your work is visual and the grid is your portfolio.
- • Booking advance for bridal work, if you take one.
Beauty trades and their card moment
| Salon or parlour | Handed with the bill, with the next appointment date written on the back. |
|---|---|
| Bridal makeup artist | Given to every guest at the wedding, not only to the bride. |
| Mehndi artist | Left with the family at every function. Weddings chain into more weddings. |
| Spa and massage | Placed at gyms, hotels and physiotherapy clinics. |
| Home service beautician | Dropped in the building where you just worked. |
| Nail and lash artist | Slipped into the aftercare kit. |
Make your salon or beauty card
- 1. Put the salon name, or your own name if you work alone. In bridal work the artist name is the brand.
- 2. Write one line that says what you are known for, like "Bridal makeup and hairstyling at home".
- 3. Add WhatsApp, because bookings and photo sharing both happen there.
- 4. Pick the rose or saffron theme if it fits your work. Colour matters more in this trade than in most.
- 5. Leave the back of the printed card blank, so you can write the next appointment date on it by hand.
Leave room to write the next date
The strongest thing a salon card does is carry a handwritten appointment date. It turns a card into a reminder.
When you order printing, ask for the back to be left plain. Then write the date and the service in pen. It costs nothing and it brings people back.
Common questions
- Should I print my full rate card on the visiting card?
- No. Beauty rates vary by hair length, package and season. Print two headline prices at most, and put the full list behind the QR.
- Do I need Instagram on a beauty card?
- If you post your work, yes. It is the fastest proof you can offer. If your account is private or empty, leave it off.
- What is the best colour for a salon card?
- Something that matches your parlour, so the card reminds people of the place. Just keep the text dark enough to read.
- I work from home. Should I print my address?
- Print your area only, not the flat number. Share the exact address on WhatsApp once a booking is confirmed.
- Can I add a discount offer to the card?
- You can, but keep it undated, like "10 percent off on your first visit". A dated offer makes the whole batch useless after that date.
Your work is the sales pitch. Put it behind the card.
A free Ahoyy page holds your photos, your service list, your rates and a booking button.
