What each one actually costs

Uniqode prices in US dollars and, importantly, sells annual subscriptions only. Its own pricing page says it does not currently offer monthly plans. On the card side there is a free plan that covers your first digital business card, a Team plan at $6 per user per month, and Business+ at custom pricing. On the QR side there is a free plan with unlimited static codes and no scan limit, an entry tier from $9 a month, and Core at $49 a month, with Plus and Business+ above it. A 14-day free trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee are advertised.

Annual-only billing is the number to look at hardest. A $6 per user per month Team plan is a $72 commitment per user paid up front, and the $49 a month Core QR tier is $588 up front. That is not a criticism of the product, but it is a real cash flow question for a small Indian business.

Ahoyy is free forever for the core: your card, your public page, the QR code, WhatsApp sharing, your saved contacts on a map, and two directory email reveals a day. A Rs 199 one-time top-up gives you 25 reveals for 30 days with no auto-renewal. Starter is Rs 299 a month and Pro is Rs 799 a month, billed in rupees through Razorpay, month by month.

Where Uniqode is the better pick

• • You need dynamic QR codes with real analytics. This is Uniqode’s core product and it is a serious one: scan tracking, bulk generation, an API. Our free QR tools make a code, and that is all they do.
• • You need bulk QR codes at scale, for packaging, campaigns or thousands of assets. Uniqode is built for that. Ahoyy is not.
• • You want integrations. Uniqode names HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics, Slack, Canva, Google Ads, Meta Pixel, Google Sheets, Microsoft Entra ID, Zapier, Make and Workato. Ahoyy has none.
• • You want a refund promise. Uniqode advertises a 14-day free trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee.
• • You want a normal app store install today. The Ahoyy mobile app is distributed through TestFlight, so you either use the web app or ask us for a TestFlight invite.
• • You want an established company with an enterprise track record. Uniqode has been in this market for years, under the Beaconstac name before this one. Ahoyy is new, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

Where Ahoyy is the better pick

• • You do not want to pay for a year in one go. Uniqode sells annual subscriptions only. Ahoyy is monthly, and the Rs 199 top-up is one-time with no auto-renewal.
• • Your budget is in rupees. The core is free forever, and the paid tiers are Rs 299 and Rs 799 a month. Uniqode publishes no rupee price.
• • You want more than one card without paying. Uniqode’s free card plan covers your first card. Ahoyy’s free tier does not put a card count between you and getting started.
• • You have a shop, not a marketing campaign. Ahoyy gives you a public page at ahoyy.app/b/your-shop with your service list and prices, photos, a map pin, enquiry and booking messages, and a UPI QR.
• • You want to be found, not just tracked. Our shop pages are server-rendered so search engines can read them. Personal cards at /u/ stay out of search on purpose, because phone numbers do not belong in Google.
• • You work in Hindi. The app, the business screens and our 12-category, 84-service taxonomy are all bilingual.
• • Your phonebook is the actual problem. Import from your phone with a duplicate filter, keep notes on a person, and record the place where you met them.

Not yet. The Ahoyy mobile app is distributed through TestFlight. Everything else runs in a browser, so you can make your card, share it and manage your shop page without installing anything.
