What to fill in and what to skip

• Full name and mobile number are the two that matter. Everything else is a bonus.
• Company name is worth adding, because six months later that is how they will search for you.
• Job title helps if you work in a company where many people share the same first name.
• Website should be the page that shows what you do, not your home page if the two are different.
• Address is only worth it if people visit you.
• Keep it short. A long vCard makes a dense QR that scans badly on small prints.

Make your contact QR

1. Fill in your name and your mobile number. Write the number with the country code, like +91 98765 43210, so it works when you travel.
2. Add company, title, email and website if you want them saved too.
3. Look at the preview. Under it we show the exact vCard text the code holds.
4. Download the 1024 px PNG for your visiting card, or 2048 px for a stall board.
5. Scan it with your own phone. It should say "Add contact" and show your name filled in.

• On the back of your visiting card. Front for the eye, back for the phone.
• On your ID card lanyard, for people who work at events and site visits.
• On the counter, so a customer saves the shop and not just the payment app entry.
• On your laptop lid or your delivery box.

The one thing a printed vCard cannot do

The details are frozen the moment you print. Change your number, your company or your role, and every printed card is wrong. The people who scanned it earlier still have the old number in their phone and no way to know it changed.
