Blinq is one of the better known digital business card products, and it deserves the reputation. It is well built, the sharing works, and the free tier is not a trap. Most people who search for an alternative are not unhappy with the software. They are stuck on something else.
This article lists the honest alternatives for somebody in India, with every price read off the company own pricing page on July 31, 2026. Prices change. Check them before you pay.
What Blinq charges, as published
These are the plans on the Blinq pricing page on the date checked. All figures are in US dollars. No rupee pricing is published on that page.
| Free | $0, with two free digital business cards. |
|---|---|
| Premium | $9.99 per month, or $7.33 per month billed annually, with up to five cards. |
| Business | $6.99 per month per card, or $4.99 per month per card billed annually, with a minimum of five team cards. |
| Enterprise | Custom pricing. |
For a team of five on the Business plan billed annually, that is five cards at $4.99 each per month. Convert that at whatever the rupee is doing this week and add whatever your card charges for a foreign transaction.
Where Blinq is genuinely better than what we build
Fair is fair. Blinq does several things Ahoyy does not.
- • Apple Wallet and Google Wallet cards, which are convenient at events.
- • CRM sync on the paid team plans, which matters if your company already runs on one.
- • A longer track record and a larger support organisation.
- • AI features on the paid plans, including a notetaker and contact enrichment.
If your company is on a CRM and everybody carries an iPhone, Blinq is a reasonable thing to keep paying for. The rest of this article is for people whose situation is different.
Why Indian users start looking elsewhere
- 1. Dollar billing. A subscription that moves with the exchange rate is hard to budget, and foreign transaction fees add to it quietly.
- 2. The free tier gives two cards, which is fine for one person and awkward for a shop with two partners.
- 3. The card is a card. There is nowhere natural to put a rate list, which is what an Indian service business actually wants to share.
- 4. No UPI. Payments are not part of the product, so the customer still has to leave the page to pay you.
- 5. The whole product speaks in the language of business cards and networking events, not shops, sites and WhatsApp.
The alternatives worth a look
Four other paid products and one free approach, with what each one is actually for.
| HiHello | Free tier gives four cards and five card scans a month. Professional is $6 a month or $72 a year with 16 cards and 20 scans a month. Good if you want more cards on the free plan. |
|---|---|
| Uniqode | Free plan for a first card. Team is $6 per user per month billed annually, and the page states there are no monthly plans. Strong on QR codes. |
| Popl | No prices published. The pricing page asks you to book a call for a custom quote. Aimed at events and lead capture at company scale. |
| Mobilo | Hardware led. You buy a physical NFC card. On 31 July 2026 a branded card was on sale at $5.00 one time against a $19.99 regular price, and a custom design at $10.00. Each includes 90 days of the Pro plan. Pro is $3.00 a month after that. They discount often, so check on the day. |
| Ahoyy | Free card, free QR code, free WhatsApp sharing. Paid plans are ₹299 and ₹799 a month, plus a ₹199 top up for 25 directory reveals. Billed in rupees. |
Pick on the free tier and the currency, not on the feature list. Almost nobody uses the feature that made them choose.
A free card, a free QR code, WhatsApp sharing and rupee pricing. Nothing to convert.
See how Ahoyy comparesWhat to check before you switch anything
Switching a card is switching a link, and links are already in other people phones. Work through this before you move.
- • Can you export your contacts out of the old product, and in what format.
- • Does the new product give you a link you can keep, so you never do this again.
- • What happens to your existing QR code. If it is printed on anything, you want the new one on a link you control.
- • Does the free plan cover what you actually do, or is the interesting part paid.
- • Is billing in rupees, and is there a way to stop it without writing an email.
The second point is the one people skip. If a product gives you a link on their domain and you build two years of stickers, signatures and WhatsApp forwards on it, moving again later is expensive. Ask what you keep.
The short version
If you are in a company that already pays for software in dollars and runs a CRM, Blinq is fine and switching is not worth your afternoon.
If you are one person, a shop, a clinic or a small team in India, the thing you want is a free card, a rate list, a QR code you can print, WhatsApp sharing and a bill in rupees. That is a smaller product than Blinq and a better fit for the job.
Ahoyy is also newer and smaller than every product named here. That is a real trade off and you should weigh it. What we can say plainly is that the card, the QR code and the sharing cost nothing, and the pricing page is in rupees.
