Pull only the right contacts.
Leave the rest where they are.

Most apps that "import your contacts" upload everything — and then your phonebook turns into a soup of LinkedIn invites and broker calls. Ahoyy does the opposite. AI reads your phonebook and only invites the service and business contacts in. Family stays at home.

What you actually see

One screen. One question.

Ahoyy reads your phonebook on-device, runs each entry through a quick classification pass, and shows you a checked list of only the service and business matches. You scan through, untick the ones you don't want, tap "Sync to Ahoyy". Done.

  • Pre-checks high-confidence matches like "Plumber Raju", "Cake Shop", "AC Service" so you barely have to read.
  • Skips entries that look like family, friends, or unknown initials.
  • Confirmation step before anything moves — your phonebook isn't touched.
Sync from phonebook
  • Raju ACService
  • Plumber NewService
  • Suresh TailorService
  • MomFamily
  • Anjali (College)Friend
  • CA Gupta JiWork

Surgical, not vacuum

Most contact apps slurp your entire phonebook to "enrich" it. Ahoyy only takes the contacts that belong here — the rest don't leave your phone.

Classification is on-device

The AI sorting happens on your phone. Names of people you decide not to import never get sent to our servers. Period.

You are still in control

Even the pre-checked matches show up in a confirmation list. If we got Mom wrong, you uncheck Mom. The default is always reversible.

Why not just use the system phonebook?

Because your system phonebook treats Mom and "Plumber Raju 2" the same way. Ahoyy doesn't. That tiny separation compounds over a few hundred contacts.

System phonebook

  • • Family, friends, broker, plumber — all in one alphabetical list.
  • • "Did Raju with the AC fix the geyser?" — no notes, no place, no memory.
  • • Every group chat invite reads from this list.
  • • Searching "Koramangala" returns nothing.

Ahoyy

  • • Service / business contacts in their own clean space.
  • • Notes, place, and met-on date stick to every contact.
  • • Group chats keep reading from your real phonebook only.
  • • Searching "Koramangala" gives you everyone you saved there.
